A glamorous pair of mid-twentieth-century ear clips, modeled in 14k yellow gold, and set with asuiteof old cut diamonds and emeralds. These ear clips are fabricated in the form of pinwheels, and they have wonderful dimensionality! They are textured, all-over, with a fine, engraved pattern of lines that follow the curves of theearringsand play beautifully with light. At the center of each pinwheel, the earrings' primary diamonds are held in six-prong mounts— these sparkling old mine cut diamonds are approx .30 carats each. The arms of the pinwheels areset with pairs of gems, one diamondand one vibrant green emerald (each)— the supporting gems are held insmallerfour-prong mounts.
Theseearringsare fitted with the George Schuler comfort backs used by Tiffany and Cartier, and they are of outstanding quality. We love the playful pinwheel shape, and the chunky, old-cut centers! Marked 14k for purity and with the patent number 2423905.
